Join us September 25th to learn how your Travel Program can further produce positive business outcomes and hear how the hotel landscape is changing.

Our first Keynote speaker is Scott Gillespie, CEO of tClara. Scott is a leading authority on travel procurement, travel friction and the total cost of travel. Scott will provide his leading research on the true mission of your travel program: producing positive business outcomes.  

The focus will then shift to hotels.  First, a panel of Travel Buyers will discuss how they procure hotels, highlighting both their challenges and solutions.   

Then, we will segue into a panel of Hotel and Technology executives: Doreen Burse, Vice President of Marriott; Scott Brennan, President of RoomIt by CWT; James Filsinger, President & CEO of Yapta; and Swapnil Shinde, CEO & Co Founder of Mezi.  The panel will discuss the changing landscape of the hospitality industry, pricing, distribution and technology. They will also share how they are solving industry problems for the traveler and travel buyer through innovation.

Scott Gillespie, CEO, tClara

Scott often breaks new ground – and a bit of glass - in the corporate travel industry. Scott is a leading authority on travel procurement, travel friction and the total cost of travel.

As CEO of tClara, he is developing the next generation of benchmarking for traveler friction. He is the author of a U.S. patent, has been named one of Business Travel News Top 25 Executives, and a Thought Leader by Buying Business Travel. Scott writes the popular blog “Gillespie’s Guide to Travel+Procurement”, and speaks at travel industry conferences around the world.

Scott holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.  He and his family reside near Cleveland.

Bonnie Brabb, Enterprise Travel Manager at TDS has been a leader in the travel industry for over 15 years.  At TDS Bonnie is responsible for leading all key complex travel management and expense implementation projects, overseeing airline, rental car, hotel and card vendor negotiations including being the business owner of Corporate card the Pcard  program.  Bonnie has the experience to bring various business units under one umbrella including policy and reporting tools.

Bonnie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and is presently First Vice President of CBTA.  She currently is in her final stages of receiving her GLP.

Madia Sargent, Director, Global Travel Meeting & Services, CDK Global
A 34 year industry veteran, Madia was named to BTN’s Top 25 Most Influential Executives of the Business Travel Industry and won the 2014 BTN Buyer Innovation Award.

Currently Director of Global Travel & Meeting Services at CDK Global, she has led global travel, expense and meeting management strategies to several Fortune 500 Companies representing multiple industries including Whirlpool, Kraft Foods, Brunswick Corporation, US Foodservice, Argonne National Laboratory, Heller Financial, Kemper Insurance just to name a few..  She has also held sales and global account management positions at BCD Travel, Carlson Wagonlit and Hyatt Hotels.  A Passionate collaborator having worked equally as an industry supplier and buyer, she prides herself on being a thought leader, building strategic relationships to drive change in the industry.  She is always seeking ways to integrate innovative and forward thinking technologies focused on improving the end user experience while driving program compliance and margin savings.  

Jean Mascetti, Manager, Global Travel and Fleet Services 
Jean has been with Navistar for over twenty years and previously worked for several TMC's and a major hotel brand.  At Navistar, Jean is responsible for delivering corporate travel, meetings, and fleet programs that continue to evolve and meet changing corporate needs, and that are fresh and relevant in today's business environment. Proven success in managing programs that surpass goals in delivering value, savings, and exceptional customer service. Success achieved by bringing together cross-functional teams of experts in support of data analytics, value driven programs, savings, new ideas, policy development, and consulting on program needs within Navistar's global business segments.

Doreen  Burse, Vice President Global Sales, Marriott

Doreen is responsible for leading Marriott’s North American Global Sales Organization of 160+ sales professionals.  This team is responsible for representing Marriott's 30 brands to B2B customers. She is responsible for developing solutions that are in alignment with Marriott’s overall Sales and Marketing strategic priorities  and oversees segment strategy development for the Mid-Market, Affinity and Government segments.  Doreen is also responsible for leading luxury sales segment specialists and ensuring the execution of Marriott’s luxury strategy. 

Serving for more than 30 years at Marriott, Doreen’s experience is broad ranging.  She held a variety of positions in finance, procurement, branded concepts and Global Sales, most recently as Vice President, Global Sales, Corporate Accounts. 

Doreen is a training facilitator for Marriott’s Sales School and a frequent industry panel speaker.  She is a member of Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE - US Council Member), Meeting Professionals International (MPI - Foundation Board Member), Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) & WINiT (Women in Travel & Meetings).


Scott Brennan, President CWT Hotels

Scott Brennan is President of the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Hotel business. Based in the USA, he reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Global Executive Leadership Team.

Scott leads the hotel division vertical, including all elements of the end-to-end hotel business. His role is to grow CWT’s hotel business and ensure its clients, suppliers and travelers receive a differentiated value proposition. He was previously EVP and Head of Global Supplier Management.

Scott came to CWT from Rocketmiles, serving as their Global Head of Partnerships prior to the Priceline Group acquiring the company in March of 2015. From 2009 to 2014, Scott led Hilton Worldwide as VP of Global Strategic Partnerships, spearheading renegotiations with over 60 airline agreements and 13 co-brand credit card agreements globally.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

James Filsinger, President & CEO, Yapta

James has over 20 years of experience in the travel technology industry in CEO, M&A and Business Development roles within global startups and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Yapta, James was CEO of, Inc. where he was responsible for orchestrating the sale of the company to TravelClick.

Earlier in his career, James was CEO and General Manager of Moneydirect, an international joint venture between Sabre and Amadeus that processed over $2.5 billion in travel payment transactions annually. Prior to Moneydirect, he spent more than a decade at Sabre Holdings where he served as VP of New Business Ventures, among other roles within the organization. James is active in the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA), and was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Executives in the Business Travel Industry for 2013.  

James holds an MBA and BA in Accounting, both from Washington State University.

Swpanil Shinde CEO  & Co-Founder

 Swapnil is a Product Entrepreneur and CEO of Mezi, the concierge for business travel – an AI powered travel concierge and booking platform that offers a travel assistant to every business traveler.

Before Mezi, Swapnil was the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Dhingana. Dhingana was acquired by Rdio in March 2014. Swapnil joined the executive team at Rdio as Vice President for leading the Product & Business Strategy in the Emerging Markets. At Dhingana, Swapnil was the founding Board Member and was directly involved in successfully raising two rounds of VC funding totaling $8.5 Million from Lightspeed Ventures, Helion Ventures and Inventus Capital.

Swapnil has a Masters in Computer Science from University of Southern California and Bachelors in Computer Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering.
