CHICAGO, Illinois – December 1, 2016 – Chicago Business Travel Association, Inc. (CBTA) announced today the results of the 2016 elections to Chicago Business Travel Association Allied Council. The Allied Council is a steering committee representing the CBTA membership providing recommendations, input, direction and guidance to the Chicago Business Travel Association Board of Directors. The position is for a two year term. The Allied Council is comprised of elected members representing Airline, Car Rental, Hotel and Travel Management companies in the CBTA Affiliate.

The Allied Council 2017-2018 members are: Airline – Barbara Read/Delta Airlines, Car Rental – Susan Koulianos/Enterprise & National, Hotel – Esther Robson/Westin Hotels and Travel Management Company – Rick Casavechia/Adelman Travel.

“We are thrilled to announce our newest Allied Council members”, said Wayne Urbanek, President of Chicago Business Travel Association. “These members bring years of travel experience, dedication, devotion and industry knowledge to assist CBTA Board in providing the best education sessions for our membership” and “guidance for our Chapter”.

The Allied Council positions kick off January 1, 2017 just in time for CBTAs’ first Quarterly Meeting in February, along with Quarterly meetings May, September and December.

“The Allied Council is also very active in CBTA Charity and community outreach programs” said Wayne Urbanek. “We have been able to make charitable donations to many causes over the years, like DePaul University School of Hospitality” and “have participated in outreach programs like the Chicago Food Depository because of the Allied Council efforts”.
