We welcome you to join our Q4 Meeting which is combined with our Networking Reception and Holiday Fundraiser that benefits children right here in our own community of Chicago. Net proceeds from our meeting will benefit the Wood Family Foundation (chosen by CBTA members in 2017), which facilitates relationships between at risk youth and mentors that can help, support, and empower them in the Chicagoland area.

We are pleased to announce the Director of Development of the Wood Family Foundation, Brynne Mancuso Krein, will be attending our Q4 fundraising event on December 5th. Brynne will be sharing information about their Pitch In program, and how we personally can be involved with the positive impact of the future of the children in our Chicago community.

We will be selling official MLB baseballs autographed by Kerry Wood as well as autographed pictures of Kerry Wood. The net proceeds will be donated to help the children of the Wood Family Foundation. We hope to see everyone there to support this amazing cause.  Please find the link below to access our donation form. This is not only a great way to highlight your company at our event and bidding platform, but to help raise as much money as we can for the children in Chicago. Please note all donations must be received by November 18th, 2019.

About the Wood Family Foundation:

Established in 2011 by Chicago Cubs pitcher, Kerry Wood and his wife, Sarah, the Wood Family Foundation (WFF) works to improve the lives of children in Chicago. The WFF acts as an advocate for children in the Chicago community, inspiring others to join them in their mission.

All of their programs and activities are based on the belief that a child’s potential should never be underestimated and that building long-standing relationships with children and their families are the best way to nurture that potential. That’s why the Wood Family Foundation prides itself on providing support, not just on a one-time basis, but through long-term relationships with kids and their communities, ensuring the consistency and emotional structure they need to succeed.

Despite the curveballs that may come their way, everyone should be given a chance in life regardless of resources or geography. The Wood Family Foundation facilitates relationships that provide support and opportunities to empower youth and their families to succeed in life.
