Marketing and Communications Committee

Our Mission is to communicate the opportunities, programs, and achievements of the GBTA Chicago Chapter to the membership and travel community. As a committee, we strive to maintain our Chapter’s visibility and encourage growth through local and national involvement.

Marketing and Communications (“Mar/Com”) Committee’s main responsibilities include facilitating the following:

  • Annual Communication/Media Plan
  • Monthly Newsletter
  • Social Media Strategy
  • Public Relations support


Our committee’s goal is to drive awareness and engagement to the travel community by supporting these areas and providing communication vehicles for:

  • Educational and networking opportunities
  • Insight on current trends and topics affecting the travel industry
  • GBTA news and resources
  • Personal communication for membership
  • Linking the Executive Board, Committees, and Membership to one another
