Government Relations

NBTA PAC Liaison Committee & CBTA's Government Relations Team

NBTA PAC is the bipartisan GBTA USA Political Action Committee.  As the only federally recognized PAC representing the business travel industry, it give the industry another voice in the political process.  Through NBTA PAC, CBTA members educate and financially support members of Congress who understand the value of business travel and support pro-business travel interest.  When government policies can make such a big difference in your lives- and the success of your employer and the business travel industry- participation in the political process is essential.

Government Relations

GBTA’s Government Relations program brings the collective voice of business travel to Washington. Part of that collective voice happens at the state and local level which is where the CBTA Government Relations Committee and our members get involved.

In addition to lobbying on members’ behalf, GBTA and the Chicago Business Travel Association give members opportunities to get involved in legislation that impacts business travel.

What is NBTAPAC?
The NBTAPAC aggregates business travel professionals political strength and financially supports the campaigns of national candidates who are supportive of a pro-business travel legislative agenda.

Whether or not you are politically “active”, there is no better way to support the candidates and the issues that impact your company’s travel needs.. So let your voice be heard!

Ad-Hoc Committees

Special and sub-committees shall be appointed by the President to fill a special purpose and shall be discharged upon submission of a final report.

Golf & Croquet Event Committee

Our mission is to plan, promote and host the annual Golf and Croquet Event to raise funds for DePaul University School of Hospitality student scholarships.

A secondary objective is to provide a DePaul University student intern the opportunity to lead the charge for this event under the tutelage of CBTA member professionals.

In addition to raising funds for the future travel leaders, this event provides a healthy, fun activity for CBTA members, DePaul University faculty and guests to network and promote their corporate brand to the community.
